Background:
Little Dewchurch is a Church of England Controlled Primary School. With the building of a new village hall, the school now benefits from new facilities for music, sport, and social activities. After-school pick-up and clubs are provided in partnership with the nursery. The school is linked in a cluster of six Primary Schools whose combined staff often work together, sharing equipment, staff expertise, educational visits, and premises. Little Dewchurch, King's Caple, Mordiford, Lugwardine, Fownhope, and Holme Lacy Schools regularly meet (both teachers and children) for combined activities. Parents and governors and friends of the school assist with a range of activities during the school day, including reading and swimming. " The school is based on a caring community where respect for each other is paramount." .
