Background:
Wellington County Primary School is a co-educational school for children aged 4-11. The school provides many extra-curricular activities which include recorders, choir, violin, guitar, trumpet, infant games, chess, cookery, sewing, drama and various sports. The school is well equipped with ICT facilities with a computer suite able to cater comfortably for 30+ children. The school runs recorder and ocarina groups, where children are given opportunities to perform to a wider audience. It also runs additional activities through lunchtime and after-school clubs. These include athletics, including a nationally recognised award scheme, netball, football, hockey and cricket. The school aims to provide a secure, nurturing environment which will encourage and enrich its young people providing them with the foundation for a happy confident future.
