Background:
The school's main building was constructed in 1874, and now houses the hall. A classroom has since been added, and an ICT room recently opened. Two further classrooms are located in a mobile. Sutton's playing fields are sited 100 metres from the school. Most subjects are taught by class teachers, although there is some specialism throughout the school. The school organises a wide range of extra-curricular activities, which varies according to the season and teachers' strengths and interests. It is proud of its strong tradition of music and drama, supported by wind and brass lessons and drama classes after school.
