Background:
Brilley Parochial Primary was founded in 1806 by John Morris for the children of the parish. The school has retained its name in spite of taking on voluntary controlled status in 1974. A very small rural school, it is situated on the English/Welsh border. Children benefit from the 'friendly' atmosphere and 'good' information and communication technology (ICT) facilities. The school is 'well supported' by the local community and provides this community with a 'well equipped' resource centre. There is a 'high experienced and respected' special educational needs (SEN) co-ordinator who works with pupils throughout the school.
